Daya Tarik Facebook

Photos akan menjadi ruang yang ekspresif untuk memajang foto-foto kita, baik pribadi, bersama keluarga atau sahabat. Sedangkan Note bisa menjadi lahan yang asyik untuk mengeskpresikan ide dan perasaan kita dalam bentuk tulisan. Masih banyak lagi fasilitas yang ditawarkan dalam facebook yang mempermudah kita untuk menjalin komunikasi dengan orang lain.

Facebook menjadi semakin seru karena ada fasilitas chatting dan bisa mengetahui teman-teman yang sedang online. Dengan begitu, kita bisa chatting dengan teman dan menjalin komunikasi, mungkin hanya menyapa saja atau cerita banyak hal. Dengan fasilitas ini, membuat facebook seperti dunia nyata karena seolah-olah kita berbicara langsung dengan para sahabat.

Begitu banyak fasilitas yang ditawarkan oleh facebook, masih ada seperti kuis, ucapan ulang tahu, kalender ulang tahun, mengirim berbagai jenis makanan, dan banyak lagi. Facebook benar-benar menawarkan jaringan komunikasi dengan begitu bervariasi dan lengkap. Tanpa perjumpaan langsung bahkan hanya sekedar duduk di kamar di depan komputer atau dengan handphone, orang bisa menjalin komunikasi menembus ruang dan waktu.

Memang benar bahwa manusia adalah makhluk sosial atau sering kita menyebutnya dengan Homo Homini Socius sehingga manusia merupakan sahabat bagi yang lainnya. Persahabatan tentunya tidak sekedar tegur sapa belaka tetapi biasanya membutuhkan komunikasi lebih dalam dengan bercerita dan memberi perhatian satu sama lain.

Facebook tampaknya tahu betul kebutuhan manusia sebagai makhluk sosial ini yang berada dalam tatanan masyarakat yang beragam. Manusia membutuhkan komunikasi satu sama lain. Kadangkala jarak menjadi kendala terjalinnya komunikasi itu. Fasilitas telepon masih terlalu terbatas untuk menjalin komunikasi. Fasilitas chatting seperti Yahoo Messenger, MSN, atau Skype masih terlalu biasa dan kurang bisa berkomunikasi banyak. Melihat keterbatasan itu, facebook tampil dengan menawarkan berbagai fasilitas komunikasi semirip mungkin dengan dunia nyata.

Fenomena antusiasme masyarakat pada facebook dapat menjadi gejala tersendiri, yakni kerinduan manusia akan satu sama lainnya. Pada dasarnya manusia itu saling membutuhkan satu sama lain. Sapaan, cerita, dan perhatian sekecil apapun sangat berguna bagi manusia untuk kebutuhan psikisnya.

Facebook menjawab kerinduan manusia itu dengan kemudahan-kemudahan yang diberikan. Sebagai contoh, manusia dengan cepat dan mudah menyapa dan disapa dalam facebook. Dalam satu menit saja, seseorang dapat menyapa 15-30 sahabat melalui fasilitas wall. Selain itu, kita bisa memberi komentar atas foto, tulisan, atau komentar teman. Proses komunikasi dapat terjadi dengan mudah dan begitu cepat.


Hati-hati!

Di balik kemudahan dan kelengkapan facebook untuk menjalin komunikasi dengan siapapun, tentunya ada sesuatu yang mesti kita seimbangkan. Jika tidak seimbang dan kita terlalu asyik dengan komunikasi facebook maka dapat menghancurkan komunikasi kita di dunia nyata.

Di rumah kita akan menghabiskan waktu berjam-jam untuk berkomunikasi dengan facebook sehingga mengabaikan teman serumah dan tetangga. Akibatnya, komunikasi langsung kita dengan mereka bermasalah. Kita bisa menjadi orang yang tertutup dan tidak perhatian dengan anggota keluarga atau tidak bisa hidup bermasyarakat. Ini bisa berakibat fatal akan hubungan kita di rumah dan masyarakat.

Di tempat kerja kita bisa saja menghabiskan waktu kita untuk facebook atau malahan mencuri-curi waktu. Akibat yang nyata adalah pekerjaan kita terabaikan dan hanya menumpuk pekerjaan saja. Lebih lanjut, etos kerja menurun sehingga produktivitas dan kreativitas kita mulai luntur.

Contoh tersebut merupakan gambaran dari ketidakseimbangan komunikasi kita, antara facebook dan dunia nyata. Ada kecenderungan manusia melakukan hal-hal yang mudah dan menghindari hal-hal yang sulit. Facebook sangat mudah untuk menjalin komunikasi tetapi perlu disadari bahwa facebook tetaplah komunikasi dunia maya yang jelas berbeda nuansa dan rasanya dengan komunikasi dunia nyata. Dan, untuk komunikasi di dunia nyata bukanlah hal yang mudah karena seseorang akan membawa fisik dan psikisnya dalam berinteraksi dengan sesama secara langsung.

Pada akhirnya, mengekspresikan kerinduan komunikasi lewat facebook tidaklah salah. Akan menjadi salah dan berbahaya tatkala kita tidak mampu menyeimbangkan dengan komunikasi di dunia nyata. Ketika kita mampu menyeimbangkan keduanya, kita akan mendapatkan keunggulan ganda dalam berkomunikasi. Akhirnya, semua kembali kepada diri kita masing-masing dalam mensikapi fenomena facebook ini. Menjadi manusia bijaksana dalah solusi utama sukses dalam berkomunikasi.

Most of teachers who follow test of certification are charged and so very busy with various charter, certificate, letter of work, the other archives. It is not added yet wary if they do not pass the test because they will ashamed with colleague so they try to add portfolio much more. What happens with them so enthusiasm and has spirit to follow test of certificate?

I am sure it is no problem of prestige and details of professional. Be realistic that the life requirements every month. Passing to test of certification means that obtains profession subsidy once base pay every month. This is becoming the main purpose of part of teachers who follow test of certification. They are not wrong because it is a concrete and realistic. Nevertheless, we have to ask, how essence a competence and professional teacher which to be purpose of test of certification followed up after passed test of certification? The teacher largely will answer, “So what!”

Professionalism has been designed by decision maker as the aim of teacher at her/ his progress in education realm. And according to teacher, professionalism becomes the final result by presenting subsidy. This is a concept will collapse the spirit of education realm to be learner human. When teacher had got professional certificate and got subsidy, he/ she does not want to develop education realm optimally, what solution will be taken by decision maker? This is similar to trifle the meaning of educational process in FKIP that eventually gives certificate of tertiary teacher-level course as someone’s license may be teacher. That certificate is SIM (Teacher’s License) to graduate of FKIP as driver’s license. Perhaps the police will also give rule that drivers have to own SKM, namely Competence Letter to Drive by collecting achievement certificate during drive. I hope that the police will be wiser, logier, and more prudence.

It is clear that our education realm is being afflicting an acute illogical. Maybe National Education Day (2 May) in the future decades will be celebrated by laughing illogical present.

Teacher’s competence increasing will be better and directed if it is performed through periodical process and contextual and objective supervision. The enemy of this nation is money and moral. There are much money will collapse a good intention to develop education. Low moral makes people are strong by their ego and cannot treat like human to other human. For the sake of saving teacher’s professionalism, there is great vacancy. Wanted healthy, life, honest, and logic human! Immediately, call: the officials’ lustrous.

Therapy of reality
“To accompany the pupil up-to-dately”

“Children these days were hard to adjust and they do as they pleased, it is not like when I was just about them”. It was common word that we often heard when the teacher expressed their irritated mind upon their student – a judgment upon new generation lately. Or course, it was one without any chance of defend. It was worsen when this statement expressed at the teacher’s office, for the common statement would be expressed by the fellow teachers. Is this what we called “self-judgment” in our education?

In the Therapy of Reality Counseling Theory developed by William Glasser in Los Angeles California stated that men takes responsibility upon his behaviors. It was suggested that human had the ability to take decision and decide any choice about his life circumstances. These behaviors of human are as the expression of this ability. Furthermore for all of the human behavior there are some foundations, or often we called by context, Glasser called it needs.

Furthermore, Glasser described that human was enforced to fulfill their needs and wants. Everybody has the same needs in their life. But, every human had different wants for every individual. This “wants” is the basic of human’s uniqueness. The human behavior composed of action; mind and feeling that arise because there are differences between what ones want and one perception about what one get from their neighborhood thus arising certain behavior.

Youth nowadays is certainly undebatable different from the old one, thus the earlier mentioned statement should not be use as the basic of judgment. Hence, we can explore it from the basic of Reality Theory that children nowadays were different for their perception and want were differ from the one away back. One of the concrete examples was, the children away back were still filled with traditional toys while children nowadays so much close with sophisticated technology toys thus makes different of the context of era.

The differences of children nowadays and one away back was one the different evidence of behavior caused by what they want and the perception of what they get from their environment. With this basic of logic it was clear that this judgment should not happen while it was our mind set upon those nowadays that need to be changes. The Reality Theory tries to give one solution to create the new mindset with practical, directive and emphatic approach.

This reality theory tries to build ones awareness on every life reality through his/ her life experiences. The root of troubled behavior was the disability of the individual to fulfill his/her basic needs. This troubled behavior was always irrational. The reality theory helps the individual to face the reality and tries to fulfill his/her basic needs upon those realities. Thus, when the basic needs were fulfill the troubled behavior was stopped.

As a teacher, to deal with child nowadays was supposed to be seen as reality. To view the peculiar child behavior must be seen thoroughly the background the child, instead of verdict the child as naughty, dull, or any negative thing. If this child was truly troubled one, those act would not make them any better, instead it will worsen their behavior. When that happen, then who’s to blame?

It must be admitted that the process of accompanying the children in the field of education was not an easy task. The fact was, the teacher has already many burden in their task especially administration, and not to mentioned in dealing with his/her economy of his/her family. It was too complicated indeed the circumstances of the teacher upon their noble task to educated the life of the nation. To saw from this reality, its feel that being a teacher was not promising good future and become wealthy. For those with economical orientation, must immediately change to any profession promising for a lot of money. Yet if to become teacher not just teaching but educating then one must be ready to accompanying the children for the life of the lovely nation.

One basic matter that must be aware of that it is not only the duty or responsibility of guidance and counseling teacher to accompany the children through each of their field, but also the duty and responsibility of all teachers. Seeing the importance of accompaniment of the pupil which involved all of the educator, then it became real that the good education was not only the matter of developing cognitive ability, but also affective and psychomotor ability. In the other word, the good education is the education capable of creating shrewd children with lustrous and social concern, making the balance or their personality.

In order to accompany the children properly, The Reality Theory propose WDEP (wants, doings, evaluation, plans) strategy as the flexible structured setting in dealing with the troubled behavior children. In this setting there was nothing like punishment like in the psychodinamic approach. This strategy can always applied by the educator to continuously accompany the student in every occasion to avoid any “self judgment” act of the educator.

The essence of this strategy was to try to build a good relationship between the educator and pupil thus the pupil would felt comfortable and safe in expressing anything they felt to eventually compose some plans for their future. The relationship was no longer vertical but horizontal, or in the other word the educator was becoming their friend.
The effective thing to create this kind of relation was the educator to behave “up-to-date”. This up-to-date was not on the set of performance but attitude, that is to learn to enter the world and the mindset of the children and gradually directed them into the proper life. It was a challenge that we must ready to enter the world of comic, online game, mode, life style, cellular, sophisticated technology, and funky music. If the educator was not prepare for those things, then they were always be considered conservative, out of date by their student. This is the hard challenge and the life’s choice of the educator.

To discuss about teacher was endless, if its not there were always some issues to arisen. All things related to the education was always connected with teacher, from the matter or curriculum, resources, viability of education, even for juvenile delinquency was always subjected to the teacher. It is like the teacher act as the bearing that was ready to be hit or even a divine being who could counter every issues. If there always changes in curriculum, then the teachers performance was always the thing to blame.

If we look to the past, society had very good and high perception for they consider teacher as versatile people. Thus, the teachers were very much respected by the society so far that they become example figure. Then the profession of teacher was become society aspiration, so that the childs at that time were very enthusiastic to be the teacher.

Then, why the society perception to a teacher is shifting today? Is it true that profession of teacher are not promising especially during this difficult time where the price of goods or service are increasing. Or, profession of teacher is not primer profession anymore or called as part time? That question can be made as reflection material both for teacher or society.

Changing perception society to profession of teacher is common problem in society live. It will be unusual if teacher or candidate of teacher keep fused into that society perception until appear pessimistic feeling to do their profession or reach the profession of teacher. Moreover that the society consists of different element, character, and importance so it will proper if consist that changing perception. Not to mention about advance in many sector has made people have individualism spirit which often forgotten someone else role in their live. So it is proper if occurred changing of society perception to teacher profession.

Teacher as “House”
There is none in the world can replace persistence, even for the genius one. Persistence to be the teacher is very important to keep forward and develop. Like, profession of teacher is as a home, so that the teacher must try to maintain, protect and develop that house so it looks good and precious. To achieve it need persistence, not only sit, silent and amazed or jealous with some one else home.

Becoming the teacher also try to maintain, protect and develop their profession, so that teacher profession is very convenient to be done. There were needless keep fused amazed even jealous with profession some one else that make stress and wasting time. Persistence in doing the profession as a teacher is really needed to reach the graciously phase and enjoyment to be the teacher.

Once, the headmaster of elementary school in Yogyakarta said that quality teacher from education graduate very low, he was even proud with teachers in his school that recruited from graduated non education, cause according to him their quality were much better. Yes, what was done by the headmaster was ok. The question is, is it true that the teacher from non educated have spirit likes a teacher?

Yes, to be the teacher is not difficult, but what kind of teacher? Actually to be the teacher is not only convey the items to student therefore student became clever with good value, but also needed planted out the supreme habit and accompanied them patiently. The good teacher was not only to be instructor but also became the educator. Became the teacher was easy cause it can be built by trainings and development in short time. But, to be the educator needed long process. Its process that occurred in the candidate of teacher in educational institution therefore existence educational organizational still really needed.

It was clear that to be the teacher is need the process which will create opinion system and experience that accordance as a teacher who contribute as educator. To make intelligent graduated intellectually was need the teacher who has character as instructor, but to create intelligent graduation both intellectually and emotionally needed the teacher who has the character as educator. May be the headmaster of that elementary school only wish that their graduation were intelligent intellectually who have the good value and champion in every contest.
If that what he means, it very ironic, because education world became the machine of clever people without ripeness emotional.

Love : Basic Quality Of Teacher
To increase quality the teacher, is still needed upgrading, courses, or schooling the teacher, giving the proper financial appreciation for teacher and gave the wage accession or functional support. Besides that, there is one more that very important, there is presence of love. Teacher must love their profession as a teacher cause by love their profession therefore that teacher will happy and responsible in doing their profession.

Love is very essential basic to be educator teacher. Without love, what will happen to education world. Likes people who fall in love, love is basic of relationship for both person. By presence of love therefore their relationship will be connected and more intimate, feel very beautiful responsible in doing it.

Financial element is very important for a teacher because that matter as kind of compensation from teacher as profession. But to be a teacher who only oriented to financial will make a teacher “hunter”, that is the teacher who work only for a money. Like the hunter who only oriented to catch their hunting animal in the jungle. But, by the presence of love to their profession who all at once love to education world will create teacher who “jealous”. Teacher who will jealous if profession and education world out from the true line so that he will always try to observe and develop their profession and education world.

Its clear that by the teacher who love their teacher ship can increase the quality of teacher, did teacher and candidate of teacher dare to love their profession ? we hope its not only statement, but love that truly materialized in real action. I hope that.

To Listen Is Not Easy

The reformation struggle of Indonesian were truly tested through numerous issues and even tragedies occurs until these day. The Indonesian was challenged to keep struggling to actualized the new Indonesia. It was started on legislation and president election on 2004 directly which is the first even in Indonesia.
Actually, Indonesia was a rich nation, both their resource of nature (SDA) and human (SDM). To actualize Indonesia as the big, developed and future prospected country, which surpass the other nations in the world, was not a difficult task. The main key was on the available human resources, especially what is our human resources mentality?

If we dare to look backward for a while on the time before the reformation until today, there have already many smart people who spokes in all of the aspect in life, thus the democratic atmosphere of our nation filled with many circulation of statements from all party, bringing their thought and interest. Nevertheless the democratic atmosphere of our nation had become battle of statements which sometimes chaotic because everyone would hold to their own ego.

Furthermore, they use every mean necessary in order to fight for their own opinion so the other would accept their opinion. As a consequence everyone too much enjoy with their own opinion and keep pushing it, thus the opinion of the other seem just like the wind or worse, they considered it like the statement of the enemy which must be reject at all cost. People were so much fun in producing words from their lips, and never try to understand any words from the others.

Perhaps it now the resurrection of Rhetoric Sofis that once become trend at the late 5 BC, with their famous philosopher including Gorgias, Lysias, Phidias, Protagoras and Isocrates. This Sofis has concept that speaking skill was achieved when one could brought down the other in every conversations or cases, in the other word, victory was the main purpose. The follower would always, at all cost to win every discussion or cases for their will was debate, thus the Sofis known for people who love to beat about the bush.

If we saw the dynamic of this reformation era we can feel some resemblance with that era mentioned. Everyone or every party always be ready to fight for their own principle or argument neglecting the principle or argument from the other. With any mean necessary, thus many of them were only able to talk but incapable of action. Thus, while many people argue, spokes, criticize, expressing statement, they themselves incapable of learn from their own argument, criticism or statement. In the other word, they could only talk and expecting someone else to do what he himself incapable of doing. Ironic is it not? But that would be the fact.

Thus, this Retorik Sofis phenomenon had entered democratic atmosphere of our nation lately. While one easily state that someone guilty and must be punished, he/ she would runaway when accused to be guilty and must be punished, or worse, one would look for someone else to put the blame on to cover his/her guilt or crime. One would easily suspicious, blame and stated that someone was coward and traitor while one was no better than his/her own statement, or perhaps worse. One would easily cry out that someone was bad and should be put to trial, while the same happen to him/her, one would completely out of guts.

Actually the history had given us answer for our circumstances lately, which by the arising of Traditional Rhetoric pioneered by Plato and continued by Aristoteless as the form of match to the Sofis Rhetoric. This traditional ideology has preference of sought of real truth instead of merely victory for the one who follow this Sofis ideology could drawn to the mutable circumstances. One would easily changes his/her mind or statement in order to reach his/her desired goal and protect oneself or one’s group. It was the description that occurs in Indonesia lately.

Furthermore, Plato in his book entitled Phaedrus explain that Sofis Rhetoric could lead people to neglect the truth, or even thread the truth for winning the main purpose. Plato states that Truth would eventually win, soon or later for the truth was not easily covered by the untruth.

Based on the traditional ideoloty pioneered by Plato and Aristoteles, then it was high importance to us to find the real truth in all aspect of our life, especially to achieved new Indonesia. It was said to find not to look the real truth. To find mean that the real truth was already there somewhere, but to look could be mean that the real truth was nowhere to be found. The question was how to find the real truth?
Actually, since we were child we already trained with four language skill, that were listening, speaking, reading and writing. The skill of speaking was mostly coupled with the skill or listening for both of them relate to the spoken language, while the skill of writing mostly coupled with the skill of reading for both of them related with written language. Those couples were meant that there are close connection between those skills in achieving the language skill.

As we grow up normally we already had those four language skills. As the time goes, often there were some defects in those language skills. It is what become the phenomenon in Indonesia, where most people are to much enjoy with their own opinion without any action. Based on those phenomenon, it was clear that most people could only capable of speaks causing the imbalance that arising negative image to that person, like arogan, selfish, liar, mutable and tend to force his/her will to the other etc.

This is actually avoidable as long as we would balance our skill of speaking with out skill of listening, not hearing. It is the weakness occurs in the reformation era until today, which was lack of will to listen to the given element. Mostly one would keep talking and talking which lessen their will to understand and give thought about argument from the other.

Whereas the will to listen to what other people wants was meant to have two way understanding to deal with the issue dealt that everyone would not be so busy with them selves or their group. With this two-way understanding, then the real truth would be found.

This give rise to our consciousness that everything has its time, there was the time for us to speaks, and there was the time for us to listen that we would not merely spoke or listen. Silent is golden was not always the proper measure for there was a time that we must speaks our mind.

It was indeed to rise some consequences while there was a time that we stand as the one giving claim, become a witness and express the truth but there were also times that we would be claimed, to become the accused, and must confessed our guilt or crime. Thus we were not merely spokes and claim but we must also dare to listen to the other or even be accused by the other for our mistakes.

If we wanted to build democracy in our lovely nation, then it would never be achieved as long as we would not learn to listen to the other people or environment or even to our own consciousness. Just speaking was not enough that we must learn to listen. To listen to the other persons, environment even to our consciousness was not easy as long as we hold to our selfishness. While we dare to speak then we must dare to listen, that we must ready to all the consequences. The role of psychological point of view in this political field was so important. In this circumstances it was important to apply the “psychology of listening” in the context of broad society. Let us listen for the sake of our lovely Indonesia. A leader of the nation must have a proper listening ability.

Untaian Dari Grace Karlina

Kisah Selang Tua

Aku adalah selang tua। Kulitku tidak semulus dahulu. Penampilanku tidak secerah dahulu. Kadang aku merasa hidupku tidak ada artinya. Apa yang harus kubanggakan? Ya, beginilah nasibku. Tiap pagi, orang-orang itu mengambil tubuh kecilku ini dari selokan yang berbau. Walaupun ia berbau, tetapi itulah salah satu teman setiaku. Dia adalah tempat aku untuk membaringkan tubuh panjang dan kurusku ini. Orang-orang menggunakan aku untuk menyirami tanaman dan rumput-rumput yang tersebar di halaman mereka.

Sorenya, mereka masih juga mengambil tubuhku ini untuk sekali lagi menyirami tanaman mereka. Sebenarnya, aku senang karena dapat membantu teman-temanku, seperti rumput, bunga, dan tanaman untuk mendapatkan minuman yang segar. Tetapi, bagaimana dengan aku? Aku tidak pernah minum minuman sesegar yang dia minum. Aku tidak pernah minum jus apel, jus mangga, dan minuman segar lainnya. Aku selalu merasa kedinginan ketika air menimpa tubuh mungilku. Aku ingin mereka dapat menyelimuti tubuhku di malam hari..

Saat tubuhku ini merasa sakit, tidak ada orang yang memberi aku obat. Saat aku ingin sekolah seperti orang-orang itu, aku tidak bisa. Aku ingin berbusana modis daengan banyak asesoris yang menempel di tubuhku. Aku ingin berbelanja di mall. Aku ingin semua mata melihatku dengan terpesona dan aku ingin memiliki pacar yang dapat menemani hidupku. Sudahlah, aku harus berpikir jernih bahwa aku tidak dapat seperti mereka. Sesekali aku berpikir, bahwa ini tidak adil. Aku tidak memiliki kesempatan yang sama seperti mereka. Tetapi, aku adalah selang yang tidak berdaya.

Aku tidak sepenuhnya menyesal akan kehidupan yang tidak adil ini. Aku bangga saat orang-orang itu sangat sibuk mencari diriku ketika si jago merah melahap rumah mereka. Saat-saat demikian, aku dapat menjadi seorang pahlawan yang mampu memadamkan api. Aku mampu mempertahankan rumah-rumah mereka dari bahaya kebakaran. Aku juga bangga ketika mereka sangat membutuhkanku ketika mereka tidak mampu membawa air ke tempat yang ingin diairi dengan jarak yang cukup jauh. Mereka selalu mencariku dan meminta bantuan tubuh kecilku untuk membantunya mengairi tempat itu. Aku bangga karena dapat meringankan tugas mereka.

Kini, tubuhku mulai lemas dan tak berdaya. Mereka lebih memanjakan adik-adikku yang jauh lebih bersih dan terawat daripada aku. Adik-adikku yang memiliki kulit yang lebih mulus, penampilan yang lebih indah, kekuatan yang lebih prima, dan mulutnya yang belum melebar karena terus dilewati air. Aku berharap mereka tetap memperhatikan aku. Aku tidak ingin dibuang dan disia-siakan sama seperti pengalaman kakak-kakakku sebelumnya. Tolong rawatlah tubuh mungilku ini dan aku akan sangat kecewa apabila aku dibiarkan begitu saja. Aku masih bisa membantumu di saat kau memerlukanku. Itulah harapan kecilku kini.

Ya, itulah aku dengan suka dukaku। Aku harus menerima itu dan tetap bersyukur. Itulah nasibku sebagai selang yang sudah tua. Aku tidak perlu terus menyesal. Aku harus berpikiran positif bahwa banyak orang yang masih memerlukanku. Aku adalah selang yang masih berguna.

Berpikir serius tentang Tuhan?

Percaya total kepada Tuhan?

Melayani sesama demi Tuhan?

Jika BELUM, Aku punya waktu 60 detik dari sekarang

untuk minta maaf kepada Tuhan.

Saat kata “maaf” itu selesai terucap,

Sesungguhnya,

60 tahun yang lalu…

Tuhan sudah berpikir keras untuk membuat aku selalu ingat Dia.

Tuhan sudah percaya total padaku dengan segala talenta yang dianugerahkan-Nya.

Tuhan siap melayani lewat kasih-Nya yang besar.

Begitulah untaian kata itu tergores di halaman-halaman awal buku harianku yang kuterima saat ulang tahun yang ke-27 dari seorang sahabat dan kekasih hati. Buku berwarna krem, warna kesukaanku, dan tampak kokoh dengan lingkaran kawat yang menyatukan halaman demi halaman itu. Buku itu pula yang selalu menjadi tempat curahan hatiku di saat suka maupun duka tatkala aku terus dan harus menelusuri lika-liku perjuangan hidup ini.


Kutulis untaian kata itu dalam keletihan yang mendalam. Aku letih dengan pikiranku, hatiku, dan tindakanku. Tak tahu mengapa, aku seperti merasa sendirian dalam keramaian. Gejolak itu begitu hebat menerpa benteng kekuatan diriku.


Tak biasanya, aku bisa terbaring begitu lama dan tak tertidur. Pikiranku terus menerawang menembus batas ruang dan waktu. Aku terbawa pada ilusi dan fantasi tentang keindahan dan kenikmatan duniawi. Aku sadar, hidup tak seindah ilusi dan fantasiku. Justru hidup ini seindah kita berhasil menikmati pahit getirnya hidup itu sendiri. Di sanalah ada makna dan inspirasi hidup. Manusia hidup dengan menuai makna akan hidup itu sendiri dan menjadi inspirasi untuk dirinya dan orang lain.


Aku tersadar dan bangkit dari pembaringanku. Kunyalakan lampu redup meja belajarku dan selalu kuteguk segelas air dingin. Sekejap kemudian aku temukan kekuatan hidupku, apa atau siapa? Tak terasa, aku mulai menggerakkan tanganku dan kutuliskan untaian kata-kata itu. Bukan lagi pikiranku yang berjalan, tetapi hatiku yang menggerakkan jiwa dan ragaku.


Aku tercengang dan kagum dengan goresan kata demi kata itu. Aku disadarkan pada kekuatan Sang Pencipta, pemilik alam semesta ini. Ya. Kadang aku tak pernah berpikir serius tentang Tuhan, percaya total pada-Nya, bahkan melayani sesama demi kemuliaan-Nya. Sebaliknya, Tuhan melakukan yang terbaik untukku jauh sebelum aku dilahirkan. Betapa besar kasih Tuhan padaku dan betapa malunya diriku pada-Nya.


Sejenak aku terdiam dan membiarkan semuanya berlalu tanpa campur tangan diriku. Masa laluku, impianku, dan segalanya tentang diriku berlalu begitu saja. Tak lagi kusetir dengan keperkasaan otakku, tetapi justru kusiapkan jalan baginya untuk menembus egoku. Semua berjalan seiring dengan dinginnya malam yang menembus aliran darah hidup ini.


“Tuhan Tak Pernah Bohong”. Itulah deretan kata yang akhirnya kutulis dengan spidol biru begitu indah ala graffiti. Ya. Tuhan tak pernah bohong pada diriku. Dia selalu menyertai aku dalam suka dan duka, seperti yang ada dalam sebuah cerita bijak tentang perjalanan di padang gurun. Tuhan menyertaiku dalam melewati padang gurun yang begitu panas dan menyengat serasa akan membakar diriku hidup-hidup. Bagaimana aku tahu Tuhan menyertaiku? Lihat saja, ada dua pasang telapak kaki, yakni satu pasang milikku dan yang lain milik Tuhan. Di saat kelelahan itu memuncak pada ketidakmampuan diriku untuk terus berjalan, tak juga kutemukan oase yang dapat menyegarkan tubuhku. Bahkan kulihat, hanya ada sepasang kaki saja. Aku merasa Tuhan meninggalkan aku. Tuhan Bohong.


Aku memberontak dengan Tuhan. Aku menuntut Tuhan laksana jaksa menuntut terdakwa dengan kata-kata bengis dan mata menanar merah. Kesombongan mulai menuntunku, “Lihatlah aku, aku tetap bisa berjalan tanpa-Mu!” Tiba-tiba seorang musafir mengatakan padaku, “Hai kisanak, berbahagialah engkau yang dikasihi Sang Pencipta. Dia tak meninggalkanmu tapi justru Dia menggendongmu”.


Benarkah? Aku mulai melihat sepasang telapak kaki di belakang itu. Ya. Itu bukan telapak kakiku, itu telapak kaki Tuhan. Mulai kusadari, aku tak ada apa-apanya jika tanpa Tuhan. Dia mengasihi aku tak mengenal batas, tetapi aku kadang melupakan dan menyangkal-Nya.


Suatu anugerah besar tatkala aku bisa memiliki malam dalam nyenyaknya tidur dan terjaga di pagi hari dengan hangatnya sang mentari. Itu bukan karena kehebatanku. Itu bukan karena jasa-jasaku. Dan itu bukan karena amal baikku. Tetapi, itu karena Tuhan baik padaku. Dia tak terlalu memperhitungkan amal dan dosaku. Dia ingin aku tidak hanya berjalan di padang gurun saja, tetapi di lembah, sungai, bebatuan, hutan, samudera yang luas, bahkan dia antara gedung-gedung pencekik nurani manusia. Tuhan ingin aku belajar dari alam semesta ini tiada henti. Aku percaya, Tuhan menyertai aku, Dia tak pernah bohong.


Sebelum embun itu menetes, sebelum tapakku tergambar dalam mozaik hidup ini, Tuhan telah melakukan segala sesuatunya baik adanya. Kini saatnya kita menapaki jalan hidup ini dan belajar akan arti hidup ini.

Adalah sebuah gejala manusia mulai menyelusuri kesadarannya untuk menghidupi hidup ini dengan inspirasi hidup.

Saat ini…. Anda sedang berjuang menulis dalam kesatuan hati dan budi dalam rentetan kata demi kata yang bermuara pada sebuah makna akan hidup itu sendiri.

Menulis kehidupan telah menghidupkan tulisan kita menuju taraf insani dan ilahi demi nama Tuhan semakin dimuliakan di muka bumi tercinta ini.
